Who we are
Tanzania Entomological Association (TEA)
Tanzania Entomological Association (TEA) was founded by a small group of entomologists from the Tropical Pesticides Research Institute (Arusha) and the Sokoine University of Agriculture (Morogoro) in December 1992 to promote and facilitate the association and cooperation of persons interested in advancing insect science, within and outside Tanzania, Application of knowledge in relation to insects, especially the economically important species and to facilitate interaction among entomologists in form of scientific gatherings and professional discussions among scientists interested in or working on various aspects of insect science and allied disciplines.
Our Vision
Tanzania Entomological Association (TEA) will be the lead association to promote, facilitate, communicate and advocate for research and education on insects and their relatives, mentor the development of younger entomologists, and showcase Tanzania’s entomological expertise nationally and internationally.
