The Association plans to continue organising biannual scientific conferences in which insect scientists of various disciplines in Entomology from within and outside Tanzania will participate, present papers and exchange views on matters of mutual interest. At such gatherings recommendations and activities for assisting farmers in appropriate and environmentally safe means of combating insect pests will be proposed. The Association also intends to provide consultancy services to the Government, Institutions, NGO’s and individuals on various insect – associated problems and their subsequent solutions so as to improve/increase production.
The Asociation also plans to host a bi-annual scientific conference and general meeting of the African Association of Insect Scientists (AAIS) in the near future
