Membership is open to any person interested in:

  1. Any field of Entomology; and has at least a basic degree or equivalent
  2. qualification in Entomology or related natural sciences.
  3. Any person with working experience in Entomology.

Categories of Membership

  1. Founder members – those who founded the Association and who joined before its official inauguration.
  2. Ordinary members – those currently resident in Tanzania
  3. Associate members – those currently resident outside Tanzania
  4. Life members – those choosing to pay life membership fees
  5. Student members – undergraduate or postgraduate students in Natural Sciences with special interest in Entomology.
  6. Honorary members – persons who have made outstanding contributions in Entomology or promoted the welfare of the Association.
  7. Emeritus members – retired Entomologists approved by TEA for such membership in view of their substantial contributions to the Association.
  8. Institutional members – service oriented institutions such as schools, colleges etc.
  9. Affiliated members – associations and societies whose objectives are closely related to those of TEA
